HFAP: Accreditation for CMS HFAP is a nationally recognized healthcare facility accreditation organization, with deeming authority from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). HFAP meets or exceeds the standards required by CMS to provide accreditation to all hospitals, ambulatory care/surgical facilities, mental health facilities, physical rehabilitation facilities, clinical laboratories, and critical access. HFAP also provides certification to primary stroke centers.
