As a federal and state funded agency COSA must comply with the provisions of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Civil Service Commission. Consequently, hiring for most positions in this office is done from approved Civil Service lists.

An application form must be completed for each classification that you are interested in applying for. The Civil Service Commission will still accept paper applications but now prefers that everyone apply on-line. The classifications used by this agency most often are Aging Care Manager 1, 2 and 3 and Aging Program Assessor. COSA uses the Local Government version of all the classifications. The State Civil Service Commission uses a different job code to distinguish positions located in state or local government. RN – Community Health Nurse 2- Waiver Program

Delaware County Services for the Aging is looking for a full-time Registered Nurse. Interested persons must have two years of community health nursing experience and a bachelor’s degree in nursing. A current license to practice as an RN issued by the PA State Board of Nursing required. This is Civil Service position. Equal Opportunity Employer. Annual Salary: $55,204.

Social Work - Aging Care Manager 1& 2- Waiver Program

Social Workers- FT position to determine eligibility for PA's Medical Assistance Waiver Program and develop care plans for elderly adults. Interested persons must have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field and at least one-year experience in public or private social work. Starting Salary $29,133 yr. This is a Civil Service position. Equal Opportunity Employer.
